phil Crowley, BOARD MEMBER

Born at Dyess Air Force Base and raised in Abilene, Phil Crowley is a proud graduate of Abilene Independent School District. He went on to earn his degree from Hardin-Simmons University, where he continues to serve as an adjunct professor each semester.

Phil pursued his legal education at Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law) in Fort Worth. After passing the Bar, he returned to Abilene and spent a year and a half in private practice before joining the Taylor County District Attorney’s Office in 2015. In 2017, he became a felony prosecutor, a role he held until January 1, 2023, when he was sworn in as Taylor County Judge. He secured this position after winning the Republican nomination in March 2022 and running unopposed in the November 2022 general election.

Deeply committed to serving his community, Phil is actively involved with 14 nonprofit boards. He also attends Beltway Park Church.
