Michele sage, secretary
Michele Sage hails from Jacksonville, Florida, and has called Abilene home since 2008, following her assignment to Dyess Air Force Base with the United States Air Force. After a distinguished 22-year career, she retired in 2018. While serving, Michele earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from St. Leo University.
Throughout her military career, Michele held several key positions, including Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician, Flight Chief, and First Sergeant. She completed 11 deployments to Southwest Asia and participated in numerous temporary duty assignments worldwide.
Michele is married to a retired Abilene Police Officer. Her commitment to community service led her to become involved with the Back the Badge Foundation, where she began volunteering for annual fundraising events alongside her husband.
Together, Michele and her husband own and operate the Abilene Martial Arts Center, where she is a 2nd Degree Black Belt. Passionate about martial arts, Michele takes great joy in training and teaching, and she is often regarded as a mother figure within their school community. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing at home with her husband and their two dogs, and running half marathons.
