Kyle was raised in Granbury, TX, and began his career by enlisting in the Air Force in June 1987. He served at Dyess AFB for 7 and a half years before venturing into the culinary world, starting as a part-time dishwasher at Betty Rose’s BBQ in 1992. Departing the Air Force in 1994, he transitioned to become a part owner of Betty Rose’s BBQ in 1996, eventually assuming the majority ownership in 2006.

Residing in Abilene with his wife, Kristin, Kyle has proudly raised their daughters Brittney, Kassidy, and Kelly in the community. With deep connections to the Abilene police department and a vested interest in local businesses, Kyle acknowledges the vital role of law enforcement and first responders in fostering community growth and enhancing quality of life. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting the men and women in blue. As Vice President, Kyle is eager to contribute his expertise and assistance in any capacity possible.
