Gary Bone began his career with the Abilene Police Department in October 1997. He dedicated 6 years to serving on Patrol, with an additional 3.5 years as a sniper on the SWAT team. Gary's exemplary service led to his promotion to Sergeant, where he served as a Patrol Sergeant for 4 years. Later, he was promoted to Lieutenant and assumed the role of Bomb Squad Commander. During his tenure, he worked as a Patrol Commander for 4.5 years before transferring to CID for 5.5 years until his retirement in May 2018.

Currently, Gary serves as a Realtor at The Momentum Group at Keller Williams Realty. In addition to his real estate endeavors, he also owns Legacy Chimney Services. Despite his professional achievements, Gary considers his marriage of 16 years to his wonderful wife Mary and being a father to his three children, Kaitlyn (25) of Lubbock, Kyler (22) of Abilene, and Claire (12), as his greatest blessings.
